From the Inka Trail to the Apurimac, trekking, cycling and some of the best white water in the world. This trip takes in everything. A hard adventure for all ages and aptitudes. Not only do you get a chance to participate in various activities but in the famous Cusco nightlife. With our professional bi-lingual guides we make our way through the Land of the Inkas.

Day 1. Arrival Jorge Chavez International Airport, Lima, Peru. Here we will be met by our representative and transferred to our hotel.

Day 2. Buffet breakfast at our hotel and transfer to the airport for our one-hour flight to Cusco. We will be collected and transferred to our centrally located 3* hotel to unpack and receive our briefing. After a light lunch we will rejoin to enjoy a leisurely walk through the historical centre of Cusco. Night free.

Day 3. Leaving early from Cusco to Huaypo Lake. We will begin our cycle with slight up and down to the town of Maras where we will have a short stop in the village before continuing to our lunch stop at the experimental terraces of Moray. An Inca laboratory used for the production of a diverse group of crops.
We then begin the downhill to the beautiful hand worked salt pools of Salineras. We will have a guided trip of the salt pools, before continuing down the Sacred Valley of the Incas to the town of Urubamba our rest place for the night.

Day 4. Today we have a 1 day walk from km 104 to the Citadel of Machu Picchu . This real Inka Trail takes in some beautiful countryside as well as the well known ruins in the area. Visiting WinayWayna where our guide will give us a guided tour to the spectacular view of Machu Picchu from the Sun Gate. After a brief visit we will walk down to the town of Aguas Calientes. Lodging in a local hotel.

Day 5. With an early start we will be at Machu Picchu for its gates opening. We will then make our way up to the top of Huayna Picchu giving us the chance to view the fabled city form above. After our walk we have the opportunity to a guided tour or if preferred a free day to enjoy the ruins or even a visit to the hot springs in the town. Lunch will be in the town of Aguas Calientes before taking the late afternoon train back to Cusco. Night free.

Day 6. Freeday to enjoy Cusco or maybe participate in another trip here in Cusco.

Day 7. Today we begin our white water rafting expedition. From Cusco we will travel in our private transport to Huallpachaca Bridge. After preparing our equipment we are ready to begin one of the best white water rafting expeditions in the world. We will enter the water for around 2 hours learning in Class III and IV rapids. Tonight we will set up camp at the side of the river.

Day 8. We begin today’s rafting scouting our first rapid the extremely technical “Space Odyssey”. We are now ready for our first Class V “Purgatory” a white water thrill. Lunch will be served on the banks of the river. For the last part of the day we travel through a high walled granite canyon on class III rapids. In the evening we will put up our campsite and enjoy our dinner under the stars.

Day 9. Rafting begins early with another scouting to check the run of the river. We have a day full of invigorating white water of class IV and V, the water crashing over the sides of the boat, the whirlpools, the holes. All part of the hedonistic pleasure. In the afternoon “Toothache” and “Labyrinth” are waiting for us with their Class V and V+ thrill. At the end of the day we will set up camp and take pleasure in the sounds of the area.

Day 10. A very mixed batch of rapids today, “Rock Gate” and “ Babalua Carajo” both intense class V’s, then we have the rest of the morning to run more class III and IV rapids. After lunch at our disembarkation point we will once again return to Cusco a nice dinner and the nightlife.

Day 11. Breakfast and transfer to Cusco airport for your flight to Lima and onward connections.
