Cusco City Tour
This is the perfect tour for your arrival day in Cusco. A 2
to 3 hour visit of the most important sites in Cusco City.
You begin in the Temple of the Sun – Qoricancha which
was the most important temple in the time of the Inkas. Qoricancha
is home to some of the finest stonework in Peru and is now home
to the Dominicans.
After a full guided tour of Qoricancha you will walk through
the city of Cusco to the main square and the Cathedral.
The cathedral constructed in the 17 century - has brilliant examples
of Colonial art and has the famous painting of the last supper
with guinea pig as the main course.

Museum Tour
For your free day in Cuzco this is an excellent choice. You
begin in the Inka Museum. The museum is a well designed history
lesson beginning in the pre ceramic passing through the cultural
development of Peru through to the Colonial period. This museum
has well preserved examples of mummies and an excellent representation
of Queswachaka the Inka grass bridge.
A short walk and you will arrive at the Arch Bishops Museum
of Art built on the original foundations of Inka Roca palace.
As you enter inside there are exceptional examples of Colonial
art.
The third stop on our museum tour is the convent La Merced.
La Merced has beautiful gardens within its Baroque Architecture
and is home to the Custodia a beautiful golden religious artefact.

Saqsayhuaman 1/2 day
Taking the local tram we pass through the city of Cuzco before
arrival to the White Christ which dominates Cusco´s Skyline.
From the White Christ you will walk to the impressive archaeological
remains of Saqsayhuaman. The great temple of Saqsayhuaman (pronounced
more or less sexywoman) is an incredible Inkan construction
dated late 15th century. This incredible ruin was once a temple
to the sun, and also the home of the grand battle between the
Incas led my Manco Inca and the Conquistadores led by Gonzalo
Pizzaro in 1536.
Saqsayhuaman is now used for Inti Raymi (the largest festival
in Cusco on the 24th of June). It is also home to some of the
largest stonework in the area. We return to the main plaza
walking.

Saqsayhuaman Archaeological Park 1/2 day
The Saqsayhuaman Archaeological Park is situated on the northern
side of the city and contains some of the most important inca
remains in Peru. We begin in Tambomachay an excellent example
of the inkas adoration of water, the remains contain fully functioning
inca water fountains. The tour continues to Puca Pucara – the
red fortress which was a control point for the royal inca trail
which connects Cusco with the Sacred Valley of the Inkas.
A short transfer to the site of Qenqo. Qenqo was a religious
site with an astrological observatory known as Intiwatana.
This site also shows signs of begin a place of religious sacrifices.
