Day 1. April the 18th Arrival Day Lima

You are met by your local representative and your private transport in the international airport in Lima and taken to your hotel in the Miraflores area.

Miraflores is located about 45 minutes away from the International Airport, right along the coast, and is a popular and safe place for travelers to stay. There are many stores, activities and fantastic restaurants in the area, as well as beautiful walking areas along the cliffs overlooking the ocean.the perfect start to any trip to Peru.

Day 2. Lima to The White City of Arequipa

You are transferred to the airport for your flight to the “white” city of Arequipa. Here you are met by your local representative and transferred to your hotel in the centre of the city.

You will have time to situate yourself in the hotel before setting off on a walking tour of the city
centre. With your guide, you visit the main Plaza de Armas, and the Cathedral with its museum and views of the city and volcanoes.

The evening is yours to enjoy the city.

Day 3. Arequipa

Today you start with a morning tour of the Santa Catalina Convent, and a visit to the Casa de
Moral, one of the most complete historical houses in the area.

After lunch in the area, you continue to the Museo Andino to view Juanita the mummy that was discovered in 1995.
From here you meet your transport to travel to some of the outlying areas of Arequipa, to view
the interesting suburbs and ways of life of the Arequipena people.

You return to the city centre and have the evening free.

Day 4. Arequipa to Puno and Lake Titicaca

This morning you are transferred to the bus station for the five hour trip to Puno. Puno is situated on the shores of Lake Titicaca, and is a higher altitude than Arequipa. You are met at the bus
station and transferred to your hotel. This afternoon you can visit the local market, the main Plaza
de Armas, and relax in the White city

Day 5. Homestay on Lake Titicaca

An early departure as our boat departs port at approx 8am. We take off on the boat across Lake Titicaca with direction of Uros, home of the Uros tribe. The people of Uros have been living on reed islands on Lake Titicaca for centuries.
After a visit to a local family and the chance to go on one of the reed boats we get back on our boat for the 3 and a half hour journey to Amantani where we will be paired with a local family.
After lunch we have the opportunity to climb to the top of the island and watch the sun set.
In the evening after dinner we get dressed up with our hosts in the typical dress of the area before heading to the local town hall to listen to some music and have a dance.

Day 6. Taquile and back to Puno

We are up early to enjoy the breathtaking view from the peaceful island of Amantani before departing on our boat to the island of Taquile. Upon arrival to the port we have a 1 hour walk to the village centre where we can partake of a delicious lunch of Lake Titicaca trout and quinoa soup. After our visit to the breathtaking island we return to our boat for the 4 hour trip back to Puno.

Day 7. Puno to Cusco

This morning you depart on the tourist bus to Cusco. This comfortable bus stops at the sites of Pukara, La Raya, Raqchi and Andahuaylillas along the way, as well as for a buffet lunch (included) in the town of Sicuani. You arrive into Cusco, the Imperial City of the Incas, at about 5 pm and are transferred to your hotel near the centre of the city.

Day 8. Cusco

A leisurely morning to enjoy the breakfast and hotel before departing on a walking tour of the city centre and its sites. Your local guide and tour leader will meet you in the hotel in the late morning to start off with a visit to the main Plaza de Armas, the magnificent Cathedral, a walk through the streets to see the famous twelve angled stone and a tour of the Sun Temple of Qoricancha.

Later this afternoon you meet another local guide, who will take you through the local market of San Pedro to show you the foods of the region. From here you continue to the Chocolate Musuem, where you have the chance to learn to prepare some traditional Peruvian dishes, and then eat your creations! This is a three course dinner and alcohol is not included. The rest of the evening is free for you to enjoy the city of Cusco.

Day 9. Cusco and the Sacred Valley of the Incas

You depart this morning in your private transport to travel to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Your first stop is just above the city at the Inca site of Sacsayhuaman, where you will enjoy a complete tour of this huge archaeological site, with its fabulous views of the city and a great place to take pictures. Continuing on, you travel down into the Valley, to an alpaca and vicuña farm, where you have an opportunity to learn about these animals, as well as see a demonstration of the local dying and weaving techniques still used today.

Stopping for photos is a must along this route, as you continue farther down into the Valley,
arriving into the small town of Pisac. Here you will enjoy the artisan market and have lunch.

This afternoon your transport takes you to the archaeological site located above the town, for a complete tour of the site. This site also affords fantastic views of the valley.

After enjoying the site, you return to the transport to travel the length of the Valley to the town
of Ollantaytambo. This living Inca town is a unique place and you will be spending the night here. Your guide is available to accompany you to dinner.

Day 10. Visit to a Traditional Weaving Village - Willoq

Your transport and guide will be waiting to take you up into the hills behind the town, to visit
a weaving village – Willoq. Here you have the opportunity to watch the locals weaving in the
traditional way, and see the traditional clothing and living styles. You will stop along the way to have a picnic lunch.

Later this afternoon you return to Ollantaytambo to catch the train to Machu Picchu town.

Day 11. Machu Picchu

You leave the Machu Picchu town at the base of the mountain very early in the morning to catch the bus up to the magnificent site of Machu Picchu. You will have a guided tour before spending some time on your own to soak up the energy here. If you like, your guide can accompany you to the Sun Gate, which is the entry point of the traditional Inca Trail.

This afternoon you descend by bus again to Aguas Calientes where you will be catching your
return train to Ollantaytambo. Here you will spend the night again.

Day 12. Sacred Valley of the Incas and back to Cusco

This morning you travel the route back to the city of Cusco, with a few stops along the way. First, a visit to the unique agricultural ruins of Moray, and then on to the still functioning salt mines of Maras. The small town of Maras also gives a opportunity to see the colonial doorways still gracing the houses here. A picnic lunch with beautiful views is provided for you today. A stop in Chinchero to visit the church and ruins there, as well as wander the market, before returning to the city and your hotel. The rest of the day is free to enjoy.

For your last night in Cusco, you will be treated to a dinner and dance show.

Day 13. Cusco to Lima

You are transferred to the airport in Cusco for your short flight back to Lima. Free time in Cusco
leading up to your flight, and free time in Lima upon arrival. Your private transport and tour leader
will accompany you to and from the hotels.

Day 14. Lima to Nazca

A very early departure (usually around 4 am) takes you south to the town of Paracas. From here you catch the boat to the Ballestas Islands where you can see sea lions, cormorants, Humboldt penguins, Inca terns and many other species of birds and sea life. Afterwards you will continue to travel south to Ica, where you will enjoy a visit to Wine and Pisco cellar, a visit to the small lake of Huacachina, and a visit to Ica's Museum. There is also an option to go sand boarding on the Ica dunes and to explore the desert by sand-cars.

After an early dinner you will be transferred to the bus station to take a late evening bus to the
town of Nazca, where you will spend the night.

Day 15. Nazca to Lima

Today you will be flying over the Nasca Lines during the morning; this 40 minute flight gives you a good idea of the size and splendour of the lines and designs, only visible from the air.
**this flight is optional.

You will also be having a tour to the interesting Chauchilla cementery. You will also be visiting the local Gold extractors, and the ceramic work-shops, where the locals have achieved the skills to copy the art of Nasca pottery.

Later today you take the 6 hour bus ride back to Lima, where you are met and taken back to your hotel in Miraflores.

Day 16. Peruvian Paso horses in Lima

Our tour begins with a transfer to “Casa Hacienda Los Ficus” localed in the valley of Lurin, located just 15 minutes from Lima. In the beautiful gardens, a Peruvian "chalan" will introduce you to the world and history of the noble Peruvian Paso horse.

The presentation includes elegant horsemen riding these beautiful horses, in a "dance" that
combined with the beautiful landscape, is unforgettable. If you like, you can try a ride on one of these noble creatures, made enjoyable by the smooth gait of the horse and one of the softest saddles in the world. The tour includes lunch of a Pisco Sour, a salad bar, an excellent main dish, dessert and a glass of wine.

You are returned to the Miraflores district to have free time before being transferred to the
airport for your flight.
