Chuquicahuana 1 Dia
We´ll pick you up early at your hotel, and will ride on board our private transportation, towards the village of Chuquiqawana, in the upper part of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, 80 km. (50 miles) from the city of Cusco (3,400 m.a.s.l.). On the way, we´ll go past different villages with their typical mud brick houses, colonial churches and people who maintain alive their ancient customs and wear their traditional clothes. We´ll also go by the Huacarpay and Urcos lagoons, as well as through the doorway of the Archaeological Complex of Piquillacta. After traveling for an hour and a half, our bus will leave us at the bridge on the Chuquiqawana River. There, we´ll prepare the rafting gear, will inflate the rafts and listen to the technical and safety briefing our professional rafting guides will give us. Then, we´ll spend about three hours on the river, and depending on the water level, we´ll paddle on fun rapids that go from class 3 to 5. We´ll have lunch after getting out of the river, and will return to the city of Cusco, in the afternoon.
